About me

Flavio Facca

Flavio Facca, born in Pordenone in 1949. A graduate of the Faculty of Architecture in Venice, he has been practising as an architect in Friuli-Venezia Giulia (Italy) for around forty years.

Over the last 10 years, he has been involved in the field of restoration, acting as artistic
director of works on religious buildings and private residences, undertaking architectural restoration in collaboration with the local Cultural Heritage Authority. He is currently the technical and artistic director for a company specialising in the restoration of architectural and environmental heritage in north-eastern Italy.

Painting is a passion he has nurtured since his teenage years, one that has been refined over time through his interactions – alongside his work in architecture – with artist friends, from whom he has learnt various techniques and the use of materials.

There is no stylistic continuity in his works – a deliberate choice – as the artist enjoys
exploring various themes, both figurative and abstract, through a process of continuous
evolution inspired by emotional impulses, using a range of techniques from watercolour to enamel, which may even coexist on the same canvas.

Her works form part of many private collections; she won an award in Rab (Croatia)
alongside Slovenian, Croatian and Italian artists; she was awarded first prize at the ‘Ex
Tempore’ painting competition in Pordenone in 1995; and her work has been featured in
various group exhibitions.
